International Acoustic Emission Symposium is held biennially and had long history in this field. The primary objective of the IAES is the exchange of global information on acoustic emission (AE) of many researchers and engineers.
The 19th IAES will be held in Kyoto, which has a reputation worldwide as Japan's most beautiful city (see http://wikitravel.org/en/Kyoto).

Topics to be discussed at the symposium will cover all the areas of acoustic emission testing as followings:
